Polyester FDY prices decline in Chinese markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.      
 
PTA prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1330/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady in the range of 47.00 cents/pound to 47.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed unchanged in the European international and domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1290/ton and €1010/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices stayed stable in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed at RMB 9325/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices declined in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8900/ton to RMB 8950/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1510/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained stable at RMB 10025/ton and RMB 11900/ton, respectively, while FDY prices declined to RMB 10150/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY remained steady at US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1665/ton, while FDY prices declined to US$ 1405/ton.
