Ethylene prices surge in US market

Paraxylene (PX) prices dipped in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1395/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices plunged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7275/ton to RMB 7325/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1330/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were assessed in the range of 48.00 cents/pound to 48.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton and €1010/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices rose and were quoted at US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were between US$ US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9325/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8900/ton to RMB 8950/ton.
