PX prices show down trend in global markets last fortnight

In Far East Asia, average price of Paraxylene (PX) decreased to US$ 1425/ton in the last fortnight ending October 31, 2013.
 
In Southeast Asia, average PX price was at US$ 1425/ton in the last fortnight ending October 31, 2013, showing a decline of 3.39 percent compared to the average price of US$ 1475/ton in the previous fortnight ending October 15.
 
In Europe, average PX price dropped by 4.38 percent in the last fortnight ending October 31 to US$ 1310/ton, as compared to the average price of US$ 1370/ton in the previous fortnight ending October 15, due to bearish buying trend coupled with poor PX demand in the U.S.A and Asian markets.
 
PX price showed similar trend in US market and plunged by 4.23 percent to US$ 1360/ton in the last fortnight due to weak demand.
 
Meanwhile, ExxonMobil has announced its PX contractual price at US$ 1480/ton for November, which represents an increase of US$ 10/ton from October contractual price.
 
In Southeast Asia, PX price was assessed at US$ 1435/ton on November 7, 2013.
