Farsa Chimie company, one of the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of Ethylene Glycol (EG), has restarted a monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant following maintenance turnaround.

“The MEG plant was shut in mid-October 2013, and was restarted on November 20,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

Located in Assaluyeh in Iran, the MEG plant with a production capacity of 445,000 mt/year, is currently running at full capacity rates.

The plant, located in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) which is also called Assaluyeh, on the shore of the Persian Gulf in southern Iran, exports nearly 95 percent of its production to global markets.
