MEG prices increase in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices declined and were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 990/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices jumped and were quoted in the range of RMB 7250/ton to RMB 7300/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1315/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices swelled in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices rose and were quoted in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET chip prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 9425/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9125/ton to RMB 9175/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$1505/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB9725/ton to RMB 9775/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9950/ton, RMB 11700/ton, and RMB 10075/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY remained unchanged at US$ 1385/ton, US$ 1630/ton, and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
