Polypropylene raffia grade price trends for last fortnight

In S E Asian market, prices of polypropylene (PP) raffia grade were quoted n the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton in the first half of the last fortnight ending December 15, 2013. The prices remained stable at US$ 1505/ton in the second half of the same fortnight, which is a rise of 3.08 percent compared to the price of US$ 1460/ton prevailing in the fortnight ending December 15, 2012.
 
In F E Asian market, selling offers for PP raffia were offered in the range of US$ 1535/ton to US$ 1540/ton in the first half of the last fortnight, i.e. from December 1-7, 2013, while the prices declined marginally and were quoted in the range of US$ 1530/ton to US$ 1535/ton in the second half, i.e. from December 8-15, 2013.
 
In Middle-East region, selling offers for PP raffia surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1530/ton to US$ 1535/ton in the first half of last fortnight, while prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1525/ton to US$ 1530/ton in the second half.
 
In Indian market, selling offers for PP raffia increased to Rs. 110.03/kg in the first half of last fortnight, while they remained stable in the second half and even beyond till December 19.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, selling offers for PP raffia were quoted in the range of RMB 12,200/ton to RMB 12,250/ton by the end of the first half of the last fortnight, and they stayed stable in the second half.
 
In the European market, selling offers for PP raffia increased in the first half of last fortnight due to strong buying sentiments coupled with high upstream energy value and were quoted in the range of € 1380/ton to € 1385/ton. Prices were quoted at € 1390/ton in the second half of the last fortnight.
 
In U.S.A spot market, selling offers for PP raffia increased in the first half of last fortnight due to firm energy market and were quoted in the range of 78.00 cents/pound to 78.50 cents/pound. In the second half, PP prices increased and were in assessed in the range of 80.00 cents/pound to 80.50 cents/pound.
