Japan’s Taiyo Oil is likely to shut its Kikuma-based aromatics plant for maintenance turnaround later this year.

“The aromatics plant will be shut for maintenance turnaround from June to August 2014,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

“The plant is currently operating at 100 percent capacity,” the official further informed.

The aromatics plant has an annual capacity to produce 450,000 mt of benzene and 400,000 mt of mixed xylene.
