MEG prices decline in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 1260/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 6900/ton to RMB 6950/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1280/ton and € 970/ton, respectively.
