Asian MEG prices declined yesterday, due to poor demand coupled with weak upstream energy value and bearish feedstock prices, while they stayed steady in Europe due to firm energy market.

In S E Asia, prices were quoted at US$ 995/ton on Wednesday, lower by US$ 20/ton as compared to US$ 1020/ton on Monday 16th June, 2014.

In European market, selling offers for MEG kept steady on Wednesday and were in the range of US$ 800/ton to US$ 805/ton due to firm energy market.

In U.S.A market, selling offers for MEG stayed inert yesterday due to mute buying sentiment in the region and were in the range of 44.50 cents/pound to 45.50 cents/pound.
