US & European ethylene trends up on strong energy values

Ethylene prices increased yesterday, in US market due to strong energy market coupled with limited product availability in the region.

Selling offers for Ethylene increased by 2.00 cents/pound on June 23 compared to the closing of the last trading day of the previous week and were offered in the range of 57.50 cents/pound to 58.00 cents/pound. 

In European market, selling offers for Ethylene also increased due to firm upstream energy value coupled with bullish buying sentiments in the region.

In the European domestic market, selling offers for Ethylene increased by € 5/ton yesterday and were quoted at € 1015/ton to € 1020/ton whereas price of European market also increased by US$ 10/ton on 23rd June and were quoted at around US$ 1290/ton.

Ethylene contract prices for June were settled at the € 1170/ton FD North West Europe levels. This price represents an increased of € 10/ton from May level.
