Ethylene price up in Asia & Europe, stable in US last week

Ethylene prices show upward trend in Asia and Europe while they remained stable in US in the week ending June 28.

Prices went up in Asia due to tight product availability in the region. Firmer upstream energy prices supported the price rise.

In F E Asia, average prices were at US$ 1395/ton last week, up by 1.45% when compared with US$ 1375/ton in its previous week.

In S E Asia, average prices were assessed at US$ 1425/ton last week, a rise of 0.83% as compared to US$ 1415/ton in its previous week.

In European market, average prices went up by 0.94% to US$ 1295/ton as compared to US$ 1285/ton in its previous week.

In the European domestic market, average prices went up by 1.87% at € 1035/ton last week as compared to € 1015/ton in its previous week.

In US, prices stayed stable at 56 cents/pound in week ending June 28.
