Asian ethylene prices witness mixed trends this week

Asian ethylene prices showed mixed trends this week as compared to last week ending 5th July, 2014 due to continued tight availability in parts of the region and sluggish demand trends as well as dull buying sentiments in the rest of the region.
 
In Korea, prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1410-1435/ton last week, which went up in the current week and were assessed at US$ 1435-1465/ton.
 
In Japan, prices in the previous week were at US$ 1405-1415/ton, vis-à-vis US$ 1415-1445/ton in this week.
 
In N E Asia, prices showed an upward trend too this week. Prices were hovering around US$ 1475-1500/ton last week, as compared to US$ 1505-1530/ton this week.
 
In S E Asia, prices were in the range of US$ 1450-1460/ton last week, which went down to US$ 1440-1465/ton this week.
 
In India, prices were at US$ 1450-1460/ton last week, which went down slightly to US$ 1440-1465/ton this week.
