Decline in PP trends pull down Asian propylene prices

Propylene prices went down in Asian market on August 7, on account of weak upstream market, sluggish demand coupled with decline in PP trends.

Buying sentiments were weak due to the rising upstream prices.

In Asia, propylene prices fell by USD 10/ton and were assessed in the range of USD 1390/ton to USD 1395/ton.

In China, propylene prices were assessed lower in the range of USD 1445/ton to USD 1450/ton, also a fall of USD 10/ton.

In the downstream market, PP Rafia prices declined by USD 15/ton and were offered in the range of USD 1505/ton to USD 1510/ton.

On the other hand, PP injections were offered in the range of USD 1495/ton to USD 1500/ton.
