European ethylene prices fall from poor demand last week

Ethylene prices went down in Europe last week due to poor and sluggish downstream demand in the region and lower upstream energy prices.

In the European domestic markets, prices were assessed at € 1025/ton on August 4, which declined to € 1005/ton by the end of previous week.

In the European international market, prices stood at US$ 1325/ton on August 4, which went down to US$ 1305/ton towards end of week under preview.

Ethylene contract price for August was settled at € 1205/ton FD NWE, lower by € 15/ton as compared to that of July.
