Asian propylene prices fall from sluggish trends this week

Propylene prices showed downward trend in Asia this week due to lower upstream energy prices and sluggish downstream demand sentiments in the region.

In Korea, prices opened at US$ 1345/ton this week, which went down by US$ 10/ton by the end of week to US$ 1335/ton.

In Japan, prices were assessed at US$ 1315/ton in the beginning of the week and declined by US$ 15/ton towards the end of the week to US$ 1300/ton.

In S E Asia, prices showed similar trend. Prices were spotted at US$ 1285/ton in the initial days of this week, which went down slightly to US$ 1280/ton by the weekend.
