Ethylene trends stable in most parts of Asia last week

Despite sluggish downstream demand for ethylene and its downstream products, Asian prices remained stable last week.

In Korea, ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1490/ton last week as compared to the previous week’s assessed levels.

In Japan, prices were at US$ 1460/ton last week, same as compared to the previous week.

In S E Asia, prices depicted similar trend and were quoted at US$ 1495/ton, despite of tight product availability.

In India, prices were spotted at US$ 1495/ton, stable from its previous week.

However, N E Asia prices bucked the trend in Asian markets and went down marginally to US$ 1530/ton as compared to US$ 1530-1540/ton in its previous week.
