Asian PX prices decline from ample supply this week

Asian Paraxylene (PX) prices went down this week, due to weak demand coupled with ample product availability in the region.

In the week ending Sept 6, Korean average prices for PX fell 1.95% as compared to the average prices of week ending Aug 29.

In this week, average prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1250-1270/ton, vis-à-vis US$ 1270-1295/ton in the previous week.

In S E Asian market, average prices for PX too declined by 1.91% this week, when compared with the previous week and were quoted in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1290/ton.

In Taiwan, selling offers for PX showed similar trend when compared with earlier week and were offered in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1290/ton as compared to US$ 1330-1360/ton in its previous week.
