Nan Ya Plastics shuts MEG plant for maintenance

Nan Ya Plastics Corporation has shut a monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant for maintenance turnaournd.
 
“The Mailiao, Taiwan-based No.4 MEG plant has been shut for maintenance turnaround on September 9, 2014,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
 
“The plant is likely to remain shut for around 30 days,” the official further informed.
 
The No.4 MEG plant has an annual production capacity of 720,000 tons.
 
MEG is used as a chemical intermediate for manufacturing polyester resins and fibres.
