Asian MEG prices fall from sluggish demand this week

During this week ending Sept 19, Asian MEG prices went down due to weak buying sentiments, sluggish demand coupled with weaker feedstock market.

This week, selling offers for MEG declined in the S E Asian market by US$ 15/ton when compared with week ending Sept 12and were quoted in the range of US$ 930/ton to US$ 935/ton.

In the Chinese market, selling offers for MEG also fell and were assessed in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 930/ton this week.

Meanwhile, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has downwardly revised its MEG prices by 1.10/kg INR basic. The revised basic price of MEG from IOCL now is 73.50/kg INR.
