Propylene prices continued to follow the upward trend in US market yesterday (Sept 22), following rising trends, witnessed last week.

US propylene prices increased mainly due to tight product availability and improved buying sentiments in the region.

Prices were assessed at 66.65 cents/pound yesterday, higher by 1 cent/pound as compared to the prices at end of last week.

During the course of last week ending Sept 19, propylene prices rose 4 cents/pound.

However, propylene prices remained stable in Europe and Asia yesterday.

Prices in Europe were assessed at € 1050/ton yesterday and at US$ 1245-1300/ton in Asia.
