Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) prices went down in Asia yesterday (Sept 22) mainly due to lower feedstock prices. Supporting the price fall, were insipid buying sentiments in the region.

Buyers were not ready to purchase at higher prices, so sellers were forced to reduce prices.

In India, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 890/ton yesterday, lower by US$ 20/ton as compared to US$ 910/ton at end of last week. Last week, MEG prices ranged between US$ 910-950/ton.

In China, prices were spotted at US$ 880-885/ton yesterday, lower by US$ 20-25/ton from last weekend.

Last week, Chinese MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 900-945/ton.
