Saudi Arabia-based National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) has restarted its Polypropylene (PP) plant post-maintenance.

“The PP plant has resumed operations on 26 February, 2015, after a month long maintenance turnaround,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

“The plant is currently operating at full capacity,” the official further informed.

Located in Yanbu Industrial City on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, the plant has a production capacity of 400,000 tons/yr.

Natpet PP plant uses the state-of-the-art LyondellBasell licensed Spheripol technology, and produces a market-defined range of distinguished quality of PP resins. The plant produces its own high quality main raw material, Propylene, through an integrated Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) plant.
