Asian ethylene climbs last week from tight availability

Ethylene prices climbed up in Asia in the last week ended March 13 due to tight product availability in the region.

In Korea, average prices surged by US$ 60/ton or 6.03 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1055/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices went up by US$ 55/ton and were assessed at US$ 1035/ton last week, up 5.61 per cent as against its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices lifted by US$ 85/ton and were offered at US$ 1150/ton last week, an increase of 7.98 per cent from its previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices grew by US$ 45/ton or 4.27 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 1100/ton last week.

In India, average prices ascended by US$ 85/ton and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton last week, up 7.98 per cent from its previous week.
