Asian PTA prices slip due to poor demand last week

PTA prices slipped in Asia in the last week ending March 20 due to poor downstream product demand in the region.

In FE Asia, average prices declined by US$ 15/ton or 2.34 per cent and were assessed at US$ 625/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In SE Asia too, average prices went down by US$ 15/ton and were quoted at US$ 645/ton last week, down 2.27 per cent from previous week.

In the Indian market, average prices also dipped by US$ 15/ton and were spotted at US$ 650/ton last week, a decrease of 2.26 percent as against its previous week.

In China also, average prices reduced by US$ 15/ton or 2.34 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 625/ton last week.
