Asian ethylene expands from tight availability last week

Ethylene prices expanded in Asia in the last week ended March 27 from tight product availability in the region.

In Korea, average prices mounted by US$ 65/ton or 6.02 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1145/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices went up by US$ 70/ton and were assessed at US$ 1140/ton last week, up 6.54 per cent as against its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices surged by US$ 85/ton and were offered at US$ 1285/ton last week, an increase of 7.08 per cent from its previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices also grew by US$ 60/ton or 5.33 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 1185/ton last week.

In India too, average prices rose by US$ 75/ton and were quoted at US$ 1285/ton last week, up 6.20 per cent as compared to its previous week.
