Asian ethylene lifts last week from strong sentiments

Ethylene prices lifted in Asia in the last week ended May 1 from strong market sentiments.

In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 10/ton or 0.72 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1390/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 10/ton and were assessed at US$ 1385/ton in the last week, up 0.73 per cent from its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices ascended by US$ 25/ton and were spotted at US$ 1475/ton in the last week, an increase of 1.72 per cent as against its previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices grew by US$ 15/ton or 1.05 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 1450/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices climbed by US$ 25/ton and were quoted at US$ 1475/ton in the last week, up 1.72 per cent as compared to its previous week.
