Asian benzene up last week due to upstream price gains

Benzene prices went up in Asia in the last week ended May 8 due to gain in upstream and downstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices rose by US$ 5/ton or 0.59 per cent and were quoted at US$ 855/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices climbed by US$ 5/ton and were assessed at US$ 860/ton in the last week, up 0.58 per cent from its previous week.

In India, average prices ascended by US$ 5/ton and were offered at US$ 865/ton in the last week, an increase of 0.58 per cent as against its previous week.
