Ethylene prices slipped in parts of Asia on Monday (May 11) primarily from lower upstream energy prices and sluggish downstream demand in the region coupled with ample product availability.

In SE Asia and India, prices were assessed at US$ 1390/ton on Monday, lower by US$ 10/ton as compared to prices at end of last week.

In NE Asia, prices were offered at US$ 1365/ton on May 11, down by US$ 15/ton as against prices at end of last week.

However, prices remained stable in Korea and Japan at US$ 1335/ton and US$ 1330/ton, respectively.
