Sluggish demand leads to Asian benzene slide on May 11

Lower upstream energy prices and sluggish downstream demand led to Asian benzene prices sliding on Monday (May 11).

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 840/ton on Monday, lower by US$ 10/ton as compared to prices at end of last week.

In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 845/ton on May 11, down by US$ 10/ton as against prices seen at end of last week.

In India, prices were spotted at US$ 850/ton on Monday, also lower by US$ 10/ton from prices witnessed towards end of last week.
