Asian benzene drops steeply last week from weak upstream

Benzene prices dropped steeply in Asia in the last week ending May 15 from weak upstream and downstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices slipped by US$ 65/ton or 7.60 per cent and were quoted at US$ 790/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices fell by US$ 65/ton and were quoted at US$ 795/ton in the last week, down by 7.56 per cent from its previous week.

In India, average prices dipped by US$ 65/ton and were quoted at US$ 800/ton in the last week, a decrease of 7.51 per cent as against its previous week.
