Asian benzene plunges last week from bearish demand

Benzene prices plunged in Asia in the last week ending May 22 from bearish product demand in the region.

In Korea, average prices dropped by US$ 50/ton or 6.33 per cent and were quoted at US$ 740/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices dipped by US$ 50/ton and were assessed at US$ 745/ton in the last week, down 6.29 per cent from its previous week.

In India, average prices reduced by US$ 50/ton and were quoted at US$ 750/ton in the last week, a decrease of 6.25 per cent as against its previous week.
