Asian benzene plunges from weak upstream last week

Benzene prices plunged in Asia in the last week ended July 3 from weak upstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices dropped by US$ 50/ton or 5.92 per cent and were quoted at US$ 795/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices went down by US$ 50/ton and were assessed at US$ 800/ton in the last week, down 5.88 per cent as against its previous week.

In India, average prices dipped by US$ 50/ton and were offered at US$ 805/ton in the last week, a decrease of 5.85 per cent from its previous week.
