Asian ethylene knocked down from weak upstream last week

Ethylene prices were knocked down in Asia in the last week ended July 10 from weak downstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices went down by US$ 95/ton or 6.99 per cent and were assessed at US$ 1265/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices tumbled down by US$ 95/ton and were quoted at US$ 1255/ton in the last week, down 7.04 per cent from its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices dropped by US$ 100/ton and were offered at US$ 1225/ton in the last week, a decrease of 7.55 per cent as against its previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices declined by US$ 85/ton or 6.32 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 1260/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices dipped by US$ 100/ton and were assessed at US$ 1225/ton in the last week, down 7.55 per cent as compared to its previous week.
