Weak upstream price drives down Asian PTA last week

Weak upstream energy prices in the region drove down Asian PTA prices in the last week ended July 31.

In FE Asia, average prices contracted by US$ 15/ton or 2.31 per cent and were assessed at US$ 635/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices reduced by US$ 15/ton and were quoted at US$ 655/ton in the last week, a decrease of 2.24 per cent as against its previous week.

In India, average prices reduced by US$ 15/ton and were offered at US$ 665/ton in the last week, down 2.21 per cent from its previous week.

In China, average prices climbed down by US$ 15/ton or 2.31 per cent from its earlier week and were spotted at US$ 635/ton in the last week.
