Benzene prices went up in Asia on Wednesday (Aug 5) from higher upstream energy prices and feedstock prices along with improved downstream demand.

In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 725/ton, up by US$ 15/ton or 2.11 per cent as against prices on Aug 4.
In India, prices were spotted at US$ 735/ton, also higher by US$ 15/ton or 2.08 per cent from prices on Tuesday.
