Ethylene prices up in Europe but down in US last week

Ethylene prices went up in Europe in the last week ended August 7 from improved downstream market sentiments, but went down in the US due to bearish product demand in the region.

In Europe, average prices rose by US$ 15/ton or 1.32 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1155/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In US, average prices fell by 5 cents/pound and were assessed quoted at 30 cents/pound in the last week, down 14.29 per cent as against its previous week.
