Asian MEG slips last week from weak downstream prices

MEG prices slipped in Asia in the last week ended August 14 from weak downstream product prices in the region.

In SE Asia, average prices climbed down by US$ 20/ton or 2.53 per cent and were assessed at US$ 770/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In India, average prices fell by US$ 20/ton and were quoted at US$ 770/ton in the last week, down 2.53 per cent from its earlier week.

In China, average prices contracted by US$ 15/ton and were offered at US$ 765/ton in the last week, a decrease of 1.92 per cent as against its prior week.
