Asian benzene prices slip last week from sluggish trends

Benzene prices slipped down in Asia in the last week ended August 14 due to sluggish buying trends in the region.

In Korea, average prices went down by US$ 25/ton or 3.45 per cent and were quoted at US$ 700/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices climbed down by US$ 25/ton and were assessed at US$ 695/ton in the last week, down 3.47 per cent as against its prior week.

In India, average prices were brought down by US$ 25/ton and were offered at US$ 705/ton in the last week, a decrease of 3.42 per cent vis-à-vis its prior week.
