Asian ethylene drops last week from mute sentiments

Ethylene prices dropped in Asia in the last week ended August 21 due to mute buying sentiments in the region.

In Korea, average prices declined by US$ 115/ton or 11.39 per cent and were assessed at US$ 895/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices decreased by US$ 115/ton and were quoted at US$ 885/ton in the last week, down a massive 11.50 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices dipped by US$ 45/ton and were offered at US$ 890/ton in the last week, a decrease of 4.81 per cent from its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices descended by US$ 75/ton or 7.46 per cent per cent from its preceding week and were spotted at US$ 930/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices were down by US$ 45/ton and were witnessed at US$ 890/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, a decrease of 4.81 percent.
