Benzene prices rose in Asia on Thursday (Aug 27) from increase in upstream product prices and downstream product prices in the region along with hike in demand.

In Japan, prices were offered at US$ 555/ton, up by US$ 10/ton as against prices on Aug 26.
In India, prices were assessed at US$ 560/ton, also higher by US$ 10/ton vis-à-vis prices on Wednesday.
