Pessimistic market backs lower Asian ethylene prices

Ethylene prices went down in Asia in the last week due to pessimistic market conditions in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices stepped down by US$ 85/ton and quoted at US$ 1035/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, a drop of 7.59 per cent.
 
In Japan, average prices decreased by US$ 85/ton and assessed at US$ 1030/ton in the last week, a declination of 7.62 per cent compared to previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices plunged by US$ 55/ton and quoted at US$ 965/ton in the last week, a fall of 5.42 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices inched lower by US$ 75/ton and assessed at US$ 1050/ton in the last week, registering a decrement of 6.67 per cent from the previous week.
