Tight availability drives up Asian PTA prices last week

Prices of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) went up in Asian markets in the last week ending November 13 due to tight product availability in the region.
 
In China, average prices went up by $5/ton and were assessed at $605/ton in the last week, registering an increase of 0.83 per cent compared to the previous week ending November 6, 2015.
 
In SE Asia, average prices went up by $5/ton and were assessed at $620/ton in the last week, showing a rise of 0.81 percent over the previous week.
 
In FE Asia, average prices rose by $5/ton and were assessed at $605/ton in the last week, also up 0.83 per cent over the previous week. (RKS)
