Weak upstream prices plunge Asian benzene last week

Weak upstream energy prices in the region plunged benzene prices in Asia in the last week ended Jan 15.

In Korea, average prices fell by US$ 40/ton or 6.96 per cent and were quoted at US$ 535/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices reduced by US$ 40/ton and were assessed at US$ 540/ton in the last week, down 6.90 per cent as against its prior week.

In India, average prices contracted by US$ 40/ton and were spotted at US$ 545/ton in the last week, a decrease of 6.84 per cent versus its earlier week.
