Considering the present price trend of polyester yarn, the overall market can be said to have escaped major fluctuations in mid-September.
The price of 50s polyester yarn in early and mid-September was 16,300 yuan per ton, while 32s maintained 14,300 yuan per ton. However, with recent weak consolidation in polyester staple fiber, prices were pulled down.
Presently, polyester yarn market looks flat and the volume traded is small. As such, the confidence of both traders and weaving plants has reduced considerable. In the absence of large orders, polyester yarn will have difficulty in finding support and is therefore expected to continue with its weak trend.
