In the just concluded week, prices of polyester staple fiber marginally fell to 10,650 Yuan / ton at the weekend. The continuous price rise of polyester staple fiber in earlier days had significantly increased raw material costs of cotton / polyester yarn.

This had led to a significant rise in prices of downstream products in markets of Hebei, Shangdong and Henan provinces.

The price of CVC60/40 45S in Henan province had risen from 23,800 / ton to 24,800 Yuan, up 1,000 Yuan / ton. Driven by price rise of cotton/ polyester yarn, fabrics based on cotton/ polyester yarn had also increased.
