Chinese July polyester fiber output peaks in 2010

China's polyester fiber production stood at 2.229 million tons in July, an increase of 14.43 percent year on year, and up 8.57 percent from the previous month, representing the highest yield since 2010. While from, January to July, China's total polyester fiber production completed 13.83 million tons, an increase of 14.46 percent year on year.

In July 2010, China's fabric output reached 5.706 billion meters, up 20.01 percent year on year, but slightly down 1.93 percent from the previous month. In the first seven months of 2010, fabric output stood at 35.434 billion meters, an increase of 16.73 percent year on year.

In the same month, fabric produced using chemical fiber yarn touched 1.421 billion meters, up by 10.27 percent year on year, but slightly down 0.04 percent from the previous month, while in the period January to July it fetched 8.90 billion meters, an increase of 10.11 percent year on year.

Apparel production recorded 2.397 billion pieces, a rise of 14.51 percent year on year, but down 5.29 percent from the previous month.
