UK workwear manufacturer Ballycare Limited has been awarded a contract by Ireland based An Post, to supply high visibility wet weather jackets and trousers. The contract from the Irish postal service provider amounts to €3 million, under which, Ballycare in partnership with Gore-Tex, will supply a total of 13,000 garment sets in two phases up to 2020.

Ballyclare will manufacture and supply Gore-Tex fabrics based jackets and trousers with high visibility elements to provide full wet-weather protection for the delivery staff.

“We are delighted to have won this contract from An Post as it represents a major success for Ballyclare,” Maggie Shaw, sales and service manager at Ballyclare said. “It also demonstrates our ability to provide garments which suit a client’s individual specifications right down to the last detail.” (AR)
