OETI strengthens PPE services with Slovakia lab and Module D

New Laboratory in Žilina Accredited

The new OETI Slovakia s.r.o. laboratory in Žilina is accredited by the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) according to EN ISO/IEC 17025, testing laboratory No. S-428, and EN ISO/IEC 17065, certification body for products, personal protective equipment, No. P-067.

The Notified Body Number is 3123.

“With the new site in Žilina, we are not only increasing our laboratory capacity but also offering greater flexibility for our customers worldwide and can offer even more comprehensive support and the highest quality of service,” explains Ing. Judith Pointner, Head of Technology and responsible for PPE certification at OETI headquarters in Vienna.

Module D Strengthens the Vienna location

By the end of 2024, the scope of accreditation of the OETI certification body in Vienna, Notified Body Number 0534, was extended to include Module D under the Pressure Equipment Directive (EU) 2016/425. As such, the OETI Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, is now authorised to carry out the monitoring of your PPE production process according to Module D, Annexe VIII of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

What exactly does Module D mean?

Module D involves regular monitoring of the production process to ensure conformity with the tested type-sample. OETI checks the quality assurance system for the production process and verifies whether the production procedures ensure that the manufactured PPE corresponds to the EU type-sample and meets the applicable requirements. This enables manufacturers to have the entire CE conformity assessment procedure – from type examination (Module B) and product surveillance (Module C2) to production process monitoring (Module D) – fully provided by OETI.
