In Mumbai, traders expect cotton yarn demand to improve next month. Summer garment manufacturing remains slow across the country. Cotton yarn prices continued to hover at previous levels. A trader from the Mumbai market told Fibre*Fashion, “The market expects good demand for cotton yarn next month as summer garmenting will increase. The seasonal demand is already delayed.” However, traders remain cautious about the impact of cheaper polyester on cotton yarn. After the removal of the QCO, lower-priced polyester yarn may shift some demand away from cotton yarn.

In Mumbai, ** carded yarn of warp and weft varieties were traded at &#****;*,***-*,*** (~$**.**-**.**) and &#****;*,***-*,*** per * kg (~$**.**-**.**) (excluding GST), respectively.
