According to Bharat Shah, a trader from Maharashtra who spoke to Fibre2Fashion, "The demand from the weaving industry was very poor. Traders and millers were compelled to attract buyers by lowering prices. The lacklustre retail buying has led to uncertainty throughout the textile value chain.”
